The first, with a good friend of mine, passed with the most pointless conversations about all manner of subjects, many of them listed on this blog now.

The second trip was with a new girlfriend along a similar route. About 30 minutes into our journey and conscious of the thousands of miles ahead of us travelling together, I enquired "So, what's your top 5 films of all time?" She replied "Oh I don't like conversations like that."

I then realised that there was a point after all to the pointless conversations I had had 2 years previously, if nothing more than to enjoy endless hours of being stuck with someone travelling.

<admin:generatorAgent xmlns:admin="http://webns.net/mvcb/" xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" rdf:resource="http://www.blog.co.uk"/>

<sy:updateBase xmlns:sy="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/syndication/">2000-01-01T12:00+00:00</sy:updateBase>

Travel Talk

<items><rdf:Seq><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/14/which_historical_event_would_you_travel_~3577905/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_worst_football_kits_ever~3572231/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_worst_refeering_decisions_o~3572228/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_5_best_golf_courses_in_the_~3572224/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/you_have_been_chosen_to_colonise_a_new_p~3572123/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_best_aamp_worst_fouls_you_h~3572108/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_is_the_best_england_xi_of_all_time~3572085/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_worst_5_films_of_all_time_a~3572082/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_best_5_horror_films_of_all_~3572071/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/you_ve_won_p5m_on_the_lottery_how_much_d~3572058/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_film_would_you_have_liked_to_have_s~3572056/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_3_cars_would_you_buy_if_money_was_n~3572048/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_top_5_biscuits_you_ve_ever_~3572045/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/you_ve_been_offered_a_round_the_world_tr~3572040/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/if_you_could_buy_5_houses_anywhere_in_th~3572030/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/you_re_prime_minister_which_3_laws_do_yo~3572028/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/you_have_become_prime_minister_for_the_d~3572024/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/annoying_big_brother_candidates~3571217/"/><rdf:li rdf:resource="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_5_best_stadia_you_have_visi~3571147/"/></rdf:Seq></items></default:channel><default:item xmlns:default="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/" xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" rdf:about="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/14/which_historical_event_would_you_travel_~3577905/"><default:title>Which historical event would you travel back in time and witness if you could, any why?</default:title><default:link>http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/14/which_historical_event_would_you_travel_~3577905/</default:link>
<default:description><p> <small> <a href="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/14/which_historical_event_would_you_travel_~3577905/#comments">Comments</a> </small> </p></default:description>

 Comments

</default:item><default:item xmlns:default="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/" xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:content="http://purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/content/" rdf:about="http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_worst_football_kits_ever~3572231/"><default:title>What are the worst football kits ever?</default:title><default:link>http://traveltalk.blog.co.uk/2008/01/13/what_are_the_worst_football_kits_ever~3572231/</default:link>
<default:description>	<p>Coventry City - 1970's brown away kit (http://www.spaotp.com/2006/09/obscure-kits-from-british-football.html)</p>
